Second grade Idea Lab
In second and third grade, students will explore the seven continents using an interdisciplinary study involving science, art, culture, history, cuisine, and indigenous peoples. One year we will learn about Australia, Europe and Asia and the next year we will complete our journey with Africa, South America, Antarctica and North America. Each unit will include a research project and a technology project. Students will receive a map of each continent with major features and surrounding bodies of water. The children should study the maps at home so they will be prepared for our friendly geography competitions.
